  2.  @retrospecative2454  yeah and you can come from a wealthy background and have same problems. My friends father was a successful accountant, but a few times a year he went off into a period of heavy drinking. I think you call it a functional alcoholic, but it went on for many years and did lot of damage. I also had a relative with plenty of money that was on all sorts of things. He got so desperate that he climbed onto the rails of Golden Gate Bridge 🌉 and wanted to jump and end it all. But a lady stopped and talked him from it, he was so grateful she saved his life that they became a couple. They got married also , but he was still an addict and couldn't stop and died 5 years later from his abuse. So sometimes the inner demons are just too strong , no love or money can fix it. Super sad for all involved.

  6.  @AMultipolarWorldIsEmerging  well yes and no, as one former drug addict wrote in the comment section, the change and commitment has to come from inside, with outside support of cause also. It's a dynamic.
