  27.  @arighteousname5882  well just looked it up, those who live in housing with low wage jobs will pay like 30 % of their income for rent and utilities under section 8. If you are on minimum wage, that's $ 1256 per month, 30 % of that is $ 376 a month in rent. I have seen another video inside one of these apartments, they are nice big apartments. Don't know if you are out of job, if all is payed for and for how long.

  38.  @lukeford5970  exactly, but I can understand it from one perspective, it can be like winning the lottery if you get a nice 4 bedroom apartment in East New York for maybe a base rent of $ 300 + utilities. That is a killer deal....or you may be killed along the way. I saw a video with a guy Peter Santinello also doing project tour and they were equally proud of those apartments, like we will never move, we love it here under section 8. Beautiful in its own way, but also a vicious circle of crime and poverty sadly. The woman in the video said she moved out , so good for her.
