I have a 25 year old IKEA bookshelf, it still looks brand new. The good times long hair and a motorcycle, now little hair and no motorcycle. That bookshelf has been a life witness ๐

ย @darkbreedย yes agree , we live in a time where it's difficult to do the right thing. Many dilemmas, maybe we should use chopstick that can be reused or use other tools of steel like fork ๐ด๐ค. I'm also very angry at the smartphone producers, some years ago I had phones where you could switch the battery. Now it's like everything is glued together and it can be hard to change or fix a broken phone. Also people say bitcoin is amazing but it used tons of energy, so I can't get behind it. According to the Cambridge Center for Alternative Finance (CCAF),ย Bitcoin currently consumesย around 110 Terawatt Hours per year โ 0.55% of global electricity production, or roughly equivalent to the annual energy draw of small countries like Malaysia or Sweden.ย So we just have to do what we can and hope for the best.

ย @yourdeal2408ย Not always true , mass-produced chopsticks, especially the disposable kind, are made rapidly in a fully automated process of different materials like bamboo and common wood. Like Aspen wood is harvested, and the finest grade wood selected. This wood is fed into a mill, which cuts it into blocks. This process typically happens at the site where the wood is grown. Then the aspen blocks are exported to the country where they will be used. The blanks are cut, sanded, and finished at a chopstick factory, which may churn out millions and millions of pairs a year. It's a wonderful chopstick used once or more times, I fully recommend it ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฒ๐ฅ

ย @yourdeal2408ย Chopsticks are smoothed, and frequently tapered. They are traditionally made ofย wood, bamboo, metal, ivory, and ceramics, and in modern days, increasingly available in non-traditional materials such as plastic, stainless steel, and even titanium.
