@samfetter2968 well if the tanks could make a big difference I don't get the hesitation. From what I have read Germany has over 2100 of these tanks, they could easily send 100.

@samfetter2968 I hear many calls for giving the ukraine military these tanks, if they had them tanks 3 months ago they would already be in use to help end this mess. You write it like they need 2 years to be ready to use them properly, which I find completely wrong. I read several former soldiers say driving tank is easy , plus there are plenty of foreign specialists on the battlefield in the ukraine. I think official numbers are 20.000 international fighters from 52 countries. Also US & Nato train the ukraine soldiers every day in using latest weapons systems. The United States has provided more than $11 billion in aid to Ukraine since January 2021. This includes systems like the Javelin anti-armor system, the Stinger anti-aircraft weapon, unmanned aerial systems, grenade launchers, howitzers, helicopters, tactical vehicles, counter-artillery radars, armored personnel carriers, high-mobility artillery rocket systems and millions of rounds of ammunition.

@samfetter2968 I just saw interview with Russian soldier , he got one week of training in Russian tank and was then sent to the front with beautiful tank. Very effective training program , they nicknamed it the " Kiss of Rasputin " , quick and deadly. Let's see what happens next , but last week, a senior U.S. official stated that advanced tanks are “on the table” for Ukraine.

There are many reports that the new Russian recruits get very little training and very little old gear. It will be a long cold winter for them. Also Russian army use outdated strategy, is too top down in decisions and weapons are not the new optimal for modern warfare. How will you motivate 300.000 new recruits if they not equipped right so they are hungry, cold and only fight because they are told to by Putin, their morale will be super low.
