@klayman2 well , we are 7.8 billion people on the planet and my research tells me that only 4 million has died globally. Do the math with 4 million death, its much much less than 1 %. Every year around 56 million people die on earth, alone heart problems and stroke take 15 million people, overweight and junkfood is a big part of it. Car accidents kills 1,4 million people each year. Almost 500.000 die each year in America because of smoking. And the list goes on. Regarding the economy the IMF estimates that the global economy shrunk by 4.4% in 2020. The organisation described the decline as the worst since the Great Depression of the 1930s. Billions and billions lost plus many small business owners, restaurants and hotels has closed down. Many children and grown ups suffered from depression and lonines. So the total cost has been enormous on scale that is hard to grasp. That is my only criticism, the hard lock down was too hard in My opinion. My neighbor family of 4 got covid without major problems. Yeah the whole crazy 2020 showed me how fast it all can fall apart and goverment, media and people lose their common sense. Getting covid has 99.5 % survival rate and the whole world stopped because of that. My neighbors got it and only the father in the family felt bad for a few weeks, the wife and kids only had very very mild symptoms.

Agree mixflip if you have been through some of the crazy wildfires the last years , you feel like end of the world. The heatwave of 115 / 46 degree last week combined with the wildfires in Canada that took out a whole ( though small) town, must have been like hell. Be prepared mentally on any change in life and take action.

@klayman2 well it was only 4 million world wide, but I get your point, but it seems you didn't get mine. I don't know where you live, but my country made a hard lock down and I think just 2500 has died from covid here. Many who died were old or sick already or overweight. It's a tragedy for sure, but the whole society suffered big time. I argue for a soft lock down where those at risk are protected and children plus other low risk can live their life as normal. Mental health has suffered enormously for maybe billions of people. We live in a brutal world, 400.000 die each year from malaria, why doesn't the rich people or countries help with malaria medicine ?? I read somewhere that 100.000 die each year from snakebites, that is just horrible. Imagine you are dancing happy half naked in the field and boom 💥 the snake 🐍 gets you and its game over. Where is God, where is justice ⚖ , does this goes back to Adam & Eve, I don't know. It's dangerous to be alive man, so watch out.
