Billions and billions $$$$ worth of aid stream in each year to Africa from the West and has done so for 50 years. This is what kept people survive and still get many children. UN will always bring in tons of food, so few will die. To me its a super vicious circle that does no good to anyone. It only create more pain and suffering, conflict and war. A country with population growth out of control can never lift out of poverty. Look at Nigeria has hit 205 million people, plenty of problems on many levels. UN estimates Nigeria will grow from 205 million to 800 million people in the next 80 years. Its complete utter madness if you ask me, they will only hurt them self and all around them.

@ANWRocketMan totally agree Africa is a huge continent with many variables. But still Africa receives 133 billion dollars in total aid from the world each year. According to this measure, 226.7 million people are starving in Africa. The countries most affected by extreme poverty and hunger in Africa are mainly those located south of the Sahara. One in four people suffers from hunger there – which means that the share of the world's hungry is highest in sub-Saharan Africa. I pray for better life for all and less hunger, but we need good honest governments in Africa and that they take ownership in all aspects of life.

@lif3andthings763 I totally agree, we need a new paradigm, but not done or forces by " white saviors". Africa needs to stand on its own feet, no foreign forces involved like France or others, fair trade deals with EU and other markeds. Effective and non currupt governments that put their people first. And family planning. The hard problem is clearly curruption, economic interests and geo politics. China has invested many many billions in Africa to secure a wide range of resources for their own country. China is not some soft Western humanitarian, its like if you can't pay up we take that port or train line. They are hardcore, some call them the new colonizers of Africa. China has deep pockets and plan long term. Well I hope the best for all, it just pains me to see how bad humanity is to plan and organize a just and good world for everybody.
