  1. Did any TV stations outside of Japan do this when Hirohito died in 1989? Also, why is the British royal family way more controversial than the Spanish royal family or the Japanese imperial family?

  2.  @SDV-XOO1OOOOO  The Spanish Empire is literally in the top 10 largest empires. How is the Spanish royal family nowhere close to as controversial the British royal family? Why does Spain get a free pass for their atrocities while Britain gets all the hate? Why do Hispanic countries in general get free passes for their atrocities? If the previous king of Spain passed away, would anyone outside of Spain care? As for Japan, let's not forget that Japan committed more war crimes in WW2 than the USA, Britain, Soviet Russia, Germany, and Italy did. No, it doesn't justify the others' war crimes.
