He claims to hate the left, the Corporate elites, and the less bigoted who point at their behaviour with disdain. He also hides behind a bible; playing at being a good man. You could say, he hit them in their soft spot(s), whether by luck or design is beyond me. These people are a genuine mess!

  18.  @Jhihmoac  Jeesh, I thought I was overstating your negativity, but your (unshown here) reply was a real downer. Sure, the left is still too centrist and Corporate, and the right is a disgrace. There is hope though, as most Americans seem to be largely in favor of progressive policies, and some progressives have been elected to office. And of course, it looks like Chump will get a punishment (hopefully very severe, though it can never compensate for time lost tackling climate change). Sometimes, you have to take comfort in the small things. We don't live in Utopia, and never have, we can't expect it to suddenly appear from nowhere. I hope you can start to see the green shoots here and there, it is a valuable life skill...

If you can take a small step to help the situation, then another, then another, and others see, and join in, things can be made to roll uphill, eventually. The key is not to give up. At that point... Well, let's just say psychologically, you will be heading downwards, and that ain't a good thing.
