  1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think neeps are turnips (or swede), tatties are potatoes. And they are frequently served with Haggis, a touch of bland to lessen the pure delicious heat and taste of the haggis. Lovely.

  2.  @skippythealien9627  Turnips seen quite hard to find in shops. Swede is quite nice and sweet, I believe turnips are much more bland tasting.

  3.  @skippythealien9627  I'm fairly new to America, and not a big shopper, but in the UK, when I would do a lot of food shopping, swede was very easy to get hold of.
