We may not have complete energy independence, but we are more self-suffiencient than the Brits, who are probably feeling the pain more, or their poor are just more vocal somehow!

@taranullius9221 She is worse, in the sense that Bozo had a mandate to "level up" the Northern regions, invest in them instead of the overly pampered South. Having replaced him, she assumed she could sh!t all over that mandate, claiming she had a mandate to massively cut taxes for the rich, cut benefit programmes, and government programmes in general, while paying for essential services (what's left after the gutting) with borrowed money! That would ruin their credit rating. Fiscally responsible, Tories!!! For once the press weren't having it: shows how terrible inflation is over there.

@retinalcircus Their words, not mine. They promised stuff. They chose not to mention the North needed improvement mainly because of their mismanagement. What do you want me to tell you, liars lie, with alarming frequency in RepubliKKKon and Tory parties. I used their words, their terms. So sue me. My intent was not to confuse or mislead. Vote them out people. Simple! P.S. My sarcasm in the last post should have been clear.

She was picked by members of the party, not by other MPs who knew their Constituents were reporting Truss's plan was extremely unpopular (being an ill-advised trickle-down experiment, funded by borrowed money, at a time when that was the last thing Britain needed). The markets imploded, as they could see recession looming. Behind the scenes the MPs who knew the writing was on the wall, and who never really wanted her, gave her no support. She was a lame duck pretence of a Prime Minister... Let's hope the p!ss trickling-down her neck persuades other governments (including ours) to avoid any further use of this BS financial torture implement!
