  1. This is sheer nonsense. There were no vans in 1952 or any other year that could detect TV RECEIVERS from 100ft. You CAN detect a tiny emission from a TV set tuner, but you had to be so close as to be inside the TV. This has been debunked so many times that I am surprised this channel is presenting this as fact. If you are in doubt then ask yourself this one point: If emissions from a TV are strong enough to be detected outside the set, outside your house (through brick walls) and into the street, where is the government advice for you to sit behind two inches of lead armour? Exactly.
