@aarodful not even close, if you take roughly 30% away for taxes, their take home pay is still over 11k per month. That's 4k more than the diagram

@aarodful Good point on benefits and stuff... health insurance and other things, especially putting away for retirement, it adds up. Regardless, they are still spending way too much on food even at 10k net income, no argument there. That is insanity on takeout!

They're not making 7000 per month Kevin! They're spending 7000. The total monthly income was not mentioned, though the yearly income is 178k (much greater than 7k/month) Edit: and before anyone mentions taxes - taxes are not 50%. If you deduct 30% their net income is roughly 11k per month.
