  1. To be fair the GRC has a $7k lower base price than the Golf R. I don’t know what they’re actually selling for at dealers, and I know you can option them out to be very similar, but just saying that there is indeed a significant price difference at the entry level model

  2. B58 is more laggy than people realize when it’s not paired with the ZF8 automatic with exceptional transmission tuning. Does not work as well with a manual, you want (or rather, I want) either naturally aspirated or supercharged with a manual to have that great throttle response. Everyone has their preferences I guess. Car enthusiasm is not about hp and torque, it’s about experience and feel.

  4. You guys didn’t mention the CX-5, but Mazda still sells that. I am interested in your thoughts about CX-50 vs CX-5. I understand the CX-5 has a more advanced rear suspension design, and is available with the same powertrain.
