NOLAItsNotOva "I can tell by your username that apparently you dont acknowledge any other truck except FixOrRepairDailys" - That's complete bullshit. Just because I'm a Ford guy doesn't mean that I only like Fords and hate every other brand. Frankly, I love the new Ram with its beautiful interior, optional diesel, 8 speed auto, and air suspension option. To me, it's the whole package. I also think the new Silverado/Sierra are great choices too. You can't tell me that you aren't partial to a brand yourself; everyone is has their personal favorite. Don't go hating on me just because I can form my own thoughts and opinions; this is a fucking free country!
The reason that I said "Why bother mentioning the Tacoma? Honestly..." is because the Tacoma is a complete shitbox. Not because I hate everything other than a Ford, but because the Tacoma is a legitimate piece of shit that isn't even relevant to this video. The only thing that it's good at is not breaking down, that's it! If you buy a Tacoma instead of an F150 because it offers a center console gearshift in a regular cab, you're fucking insane! It's not even full size truck anyway. All that you're doing is looking for things to hate about Ford. Who fucking cares that they claim to have the first floor shifter in a regular cab? Also, how do you even know that it's true; just because Sofyan said it doesn't mean that Ford actually claimed that. People can't even take a comment these days without getting all defensive... This isn't hypocritical, either.

NOLAItsNotOva For the record, you were the one who was comparing the Tacoma to the F150. I asked why and you proceeded to bash me and draw false conclusions about me based on my username. Nowhere did I compare the F150 with the Tacoma. In fact, I stated "my original point was that it was stupid to even compare a Tacoma to an F150." You basically contradicted your original statement by saying "also, youre comparing trucks in two completely different segments", thereby proving the irrelevancy of your original post. I also find it funny how you call the F150 cheap, have you seen the Tacoma lately? That brings me on to my next point; reasons the Tacoma is a shitbox:
1. Cheap interior materials
2. Uncomfortably hard seats / poor ride quality
3. Mundane body-style basically unchanged for 10 years
4. Same powertrain used since 2004
5. 4.0L V6 is too under-powered for 2014
6. First gen. has bad rep. for rusting
Most of those reasons are based on opinion, and the reliability of the Tacoma is great. However, those 6 reasons alone would prevent me from pouring my hard-earned cash into the Tacoma. In this day and age, there's no excuse for it to be such a "shitbox". You may think the F150 has a cheap interior, but it's far better than that of the Tacoma. Also, how can the Tacoma "pretty much do everything your cheap Ford can do"? The Tacoma's tow rating is 42% less than the F150's. Sorry, I wasn't aware that that was pretty much the same thing. Same story on everything else, even the gas mileage is similar.

punkboy459 The Altima is not a shit family sedan. It actually has more interior room than the Maxima, more trunk space, gets better fuel mileage, and is faster from 0-60. Given it has the same engine, the only differences are weight and power. The Maxima has the greater 290 hp compared to the lesser 270 hp put out by the Altima, but the Altima weighs about 260 pounds less than the Maxima, which is a considerable amount when it comes to speed testing. It works out where the power to weight ratio in the Altima is better than that of the Maxima, therefore, the Altima is marginally faster from 0-60 than the Maxima. In this case, WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT YOUR TUNED MAXIMA! Anybody can tune a car and make it faster, we're talking about the stock 2014 Altima and 2014 Maxima! Your 308 hp Maxima is irrelevant in this scenario. You're the one who has no idea! You assumed that because the Maxima has more power, it's faster. Never once did you take into consideration the weight difference, you simpleton. Let me know if I need to dumb this down for you to understand it better. I can tell by your grammar that you don't speak English very well.

Bruno TaTa I'm sorry, that's just not practical. I'm not getting the 4 cylinder, and I need 4x4. You have to admit that these "small trucks" are a bit overpriced. My point was, I really like this truck, but for that money I can get so much more. For instance, I can get a 2015 F-150 XL extended cab with the Sport Package and 2.7 EcoBoost V6 and 4x4 for 35k. Think of it this way, the F-150 is bigger, more powerful, and has nearly as many features for less money. That's why this truck probably won't sell that well. It's big brother the Sierra is only marginally more expensive for much more utility. And if it's a lifestyle vehicle you want, might as well just get an SUV like everyone else. Sure, some people will like it, but the idea doesn't work for me. Believe me, I wanted it to be good, but it is simply too expensive.
When you say "It's not their fault you can't pay more" are you implying that I'm missing out on something? Is it also not their fault that they just lost a potential customer?

nezerac Did you not read what I said? I'll quote it for you: "The only thing that it's good at is not breaking down, that's it!" Emphasis on not. Therefore, everything that you've stated about reliability, I agree with. Yes, of course I've seen Top Gear's attempt at killing it, the truck is indestructible. That doesn't mean that the Tacoma isn't a shitbox. I'll give it an A+ for reliability, an F on everything else.
I'm getting off topic a little bit, however. My original point was that it was stupid to even compare a Tacoma to an F150. If that guy (NOLAItsNotOva) would rather drive a Tacoma than an F150 for the sole reason that it has a floor shifter in a regular cab, he's got some problems. It also says something about the F150, though; if the only thing he can think of to say destructively is about something as petty as a floor shifter, Ford makes a damn good truck.

Bruce Lee what you're describing is communism. Communism in theory is good for the people who are struggling, and is bad for the people who are successful. Have you read the Communism Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels? They seem to be your cup of tea. Unfortunately your views are very idealistic because in order for communism to work properly everyone has to be on board, there is NO ELITE and there is NO STATE. In practice, communism has never worked that way in places like China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, etc. Karl Marx would be rolling over in his grave about how those forms of communism worked out. That's because people are greedy and there are elite groups in those examples.
Personally, I value my personal freedom over the idea that everyone gets stuff given to them. You may think that I am greedy or selfish for not wanting everyone to be given food or money, but everyone has the opportunity to improve themselves. This is why capitalism is the system for me. There are good people and bad people in the world, lazy people and motivated people. Capitalism inherently sorts through those people itself. It is the most fair system there is. Sorry to say, but not everyone is the same, and not everyone deserves the same.

11:24 I respectfully disagree with that sentiment. Classic cars are fun and cool, but we have to be realistic that they are not safe. A parent should not cheap out and put their kids in an early 90s automobile to save some money. It is absolutely worth spending a bit more for a modern vehicle with all the safety advances, even if it's just a base model.
So, yes to owning and enjoying this vehicle on occasion, but no to it being a daily driver in the modern era, especially if you're planning to put your kids in the back. That is not responsible.
(The caveat is yes, many of us made it through eras of unsafe vehicles unscathed, and that's great. But it doesn't mean that the vehicles are any safer just because we made it out alive. In fact, modern vehicles are so much heavier than they used to be, especially electric cars. Just think, everyone drives huge SUVs and pickup trucks these days, it is not the same ballgame as it was when this vehicle was new.)

@RobotoSan no worries, you mixed up my friend laughing at Tourette's guy. Also, again, I wasn't gloating at the wreck either, I was gloating at what I thought was the speeder getting pulled over. I couldn't see anything except cop lights at the time I was gloating. You can hear under my breath I say "what the fuck" as I pass by, because I then saw another car pulled over which I didn't expect, and I didn't want to slow way down and look
It's very possible you are correct and the speeder wasn't pulled over, but I don't believe those brake lights were the speeder's car, I believe he was further ahead by then.
Additionally, I didn't find out later there was a crash. I don't know if there was a crash or not, as I said, it looked like there may have been a minor incident, I could not see any damage though. And I didn't look very closely
