  1. So IF, on the off-chance that there MIGHT be another civilization out there, and IF it might be technologically advanced enough to receive and analyze our signals, what then? They might not be any more advanced than we are, which means this whole process would be futile. Plus, contacting any potential alien civilizations is not without risk. Three possible scenarios could occur: 1) they are friendly and benevolent and could reach out to us in peace; 2) they could be so advanced that we would seem irrelevant and not worth their time; 3) they could be ruthless conquerors that would either exploit or exterminate us. I mean, do you really want to take a chance on accidentally summoning the Borg to our solar system? 🤖
