Dear Oregon residents, this impasse could be resolved with two words: “Just Move!” After having lived in “Crazyfornia” for 35+ years, it became evident that the state was simply a lost cause and irredeemable. So I became a political refugee and relocated to Idaho over 10 years ago. No regrets at all.

  4. Speaking as an Idahoan, I can tell you that there is very little positive sentiment here for a "Greater Idaho." The counties in Oregon shown that want to secede are lower income, rural areas that would be a burden on the rest of us. Plus, the infrastructure in eastern Oregon is poorly maintained in many areas. Try driving from Boise, ID to Winnemucca, NV and you'l see what I mean. Better for Oregonians to solve their own political issues rather than bringing them into Idaho.

  6. Be careful what you wish for. Do you folks really want to trade one eastern bureaucracy (Ottawa) for another (Washington, DC)? The east coast bureaucrats are both widely distrusted (and despised) by most of us here in Idaho. I wish our Canadian neighbours all the best, but I’m not sure that would include becoming part of the States. Cheers.
