Some people, myself included, will still wear a mask in certain specific situations: while in airports or flying, while at the doctor's office or hospital, or if we ourselves are ill with a cold, cough or flu. This doesn't mean that we're "traumatized" or "paranoid." We're simply trying to use common sense appropriate to the environment in which we find ourselves. Stay well.

@williams4434 It's called common courtesy, especially if you're traveling on a plane or other public conveyance. BTW, tell that to a surgeon operating on a patient. The mask isn't there to protect the doctor; it's for the protection of his patient. A surgical mask is designed to provide barrier protection against droplets--such as when you sneeze. Or would you prefer to have someone sneeze in your face without a mask? 😷

NolanVoid-dr1ch That's an example of virtue signalling; they're trying to advertise how morally superior they are. It has nothing to do with the situations that I outlined above.

@NikiBechusWTF Uncomfortable, yes. But I can tolerate it on a short flight, which for me is usually no more than 90 minutes.
