  1. If California ever was “paradise,” it was so during the 50’s, 60’s and into the 1970’s—45 plus years ago. It’s been running on fumes ever since, sort of like a car that reaches the summit after running out of fuel and then starts coasting downhill to the bottom. Or as Andrew correctly stated, it’s just a legacy brand name, an empty shell of its former glory. Flee if you’re able—we did.

  6. If you ever tire of life in BC, try (northern) Idaho. Lower personal taxes, 6% sales tax (GST), lower cost of living, especially fuel and groceries. And all the firearms you can legally carry. Plus, it’s close to Canada for regular family visits.

  7. What you’re really saying is that you want to find heaven on earth. No such place exists. As for the “globalist agenda,” if it really exists, then there’s no escaping it, even in Mexico. For us, the middle class, there are only “better” places to move to. Outside of CA, for sure. After living in the (not so) golden state for over 35 years, we did relocate to a better place in the USA. Think maybe (Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, etc.) If you don’t mind some colder weather, they can be great places: lower taxes, far less crime and smaller, less intrusive government(s).
