Why on earth would you want ANY government (especially the U.S. govt) to be “efficient?” That would mean they could enact their nefarious programs more easily and take away your rights, and money, with less delay. I recall reading of a certain national government in Europe that operated “efficiently” during the 1930’s and 1940’s, headed up by a mustachioed politician. That certainly didn’t end well.
