  1. Finland, Austria, Estonia, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Israel, Turkey, Brazil are all countries that have mandatory conscription for males 18 and over. Length of service varies with each country, but generally lasts 18-24 months. Plus, Israel and Switzerland both have lengthy reserve/training requirements until ages 40-50 in some cases.
