  3. Face the facts: wherever and whenever you have government(s) run by fallible, selfish human beings, you also have the potential, if not the likelihood, for tyranny. I prefer to take the attitude expressed by famous sci-fi writer, Robert A. Heinlein, in his 1966 novel, "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress": "I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do."
