Oh, really! People have been saying that for the past 150 years. After the Civil War, after the Panic of 1873, after the assassination of President Garfield in 1881, after the Panic of 1893, after the Panic of 1907, after the Great Depression, after the stock market crash of 1987, after the Subprime Mortgage Crisis of 2007. It’s always been Chicken Little and the sky falling. And yet the country has always bounced back and weathered the storm to become stronger than ever. I wish all these doom and gloomers would put their money where their collective mouths are and buy gold or crypto or soy beans or whatever strikes their fancy, sell their stocks and move overseas and leave the rest of us alone. Sheesh!

@gwestcot "Mathematically zero?" What are you, some kind of prophet? Show me the math, holmes, not just your own hypothetical notions. Many geopolitical analysts, such as Peter Zeihan, believe that the best years for America might be in the mid 21st century, and they have the data to back up their predictions. Time will tell, eh?

@gwestcot Well, if that’s what you truly believe, then your only logical course of action would be to follow Andrew’s example: expatriate to the country of your choice, start an offshore business, renounce your U.S. citizenship and enjoy life. As for me, I’m not going anywhere, no matter what the future may bring. Meilleurs voeux et bon voyage.

@gwestcot Sounds as though you're in a quandary about making choices yourself. "Should I stay or should I go?" I've already made my choice and am fully prepared to accept (whatever) consequences may follow. Can you say the same?
