On a recent visit to the San Jose, CA area, I noticed charging stations at a local shopping mall. Out of 10 stations, only one was actually in use, while the rest were either idle or out of service due to “technical” problems. EV’s will only be practical as a replacement for gasoline engines when they are used in crowded urban environments where range and/or charging time is not an issue. Think of EV’s as your next SECOND car, but not as your primary mode of transportation. They will never replace gasoline engines in the vast, wide open spaces common in the West, where stops between places are measured in HOURS, not minutes. Sorry, Wendover, to rain on your parade, but ‘dems the facts.
