Well, I suppose if people insist on living in extremely high-cost areas and don't have the income to match, then I guess they don't have "options." Case in point: apartments in San Jose and San Francisco, CA rent for $2,719 and $3,700 per month on average. Drive less than two hours over to the Central Valley and monthly rental prices for 2BR apartments range from $1,282 to $1,740. Yeah, I know that the Central Valley isn't nearly as attractive or livable as the Bay area, but people have to live within their means. It beats being homeless or living in your car and at least you're still in California, right? 💸
