While Mormonism may use traditional Christian terminology in their statement(s) of faith, their actual doctrine is totally NON-Christian. Examples: Mormons believe that the Supreme Deity is not one being but THREE separate beings (Elohim, Jehovah, and Holy Ghost); that God Himself was once a man like we are, but that through faithful obedience to Mormonism (which BTW hadn't been invented yet) became exalted into godhood; that the Heavenly Father has a wife with whom he produces spirit children in heaven to be sent to earth to be born into human families; that faithful Mormon males get to marry multiple wives (in addition to their earthly wife) in heaven to further produce more spirit children; that God/Elohim currently lives as an exalted man with his throne located on a planet named “Kolob” (wherever that may be). Almost reminiscent of George Lucas' famous intro, "...a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away." I could go on and on, but I think that you get the message. Mormonism is NOT a part of Biblical Christianity; in fact, many years ago the Mormons even refused to call themselves Christians, but started doing so in order to attract new (gullible) converts. And Mormonism has NEVER been acknowledged or accepted into the sphere of traditional Christianity by any religious council. Mormonism was invented in 1826 by a treasure-hunting farm boy named Joseph Smith, Jr., who patterned his new "religion" after the cult of Free Masonry, of which he was a member. Smith also engaged in occult practices, such as divining rods, magic circles, sacrifice of animals, and witchcraft. Please check out these things for yourself--don't just take my word for it.
