Sorry, Peter, but I must take issue with your methodology. Denver, CO averages 245 sunny days per year, while El Paso, TX averages 297 sunny days per year. Yes, I realize that Denver has the "advantage" when it comes to elevation (5279 vs. 3717), but El Paso also has a dry climate with good air quality. For that matter, Albuquerque, NM also has Denver beat when it comes to average sunny days (280) per year, as well as having a high elevation (4954) and dry climate. Cheers.
