Do the math. The observed speed of light is approximately 671 million miles per hour, which means that it takes 1 photon of light approximately 8.3 minutes to travel from the sun to the earth. Reducing the fractional relationship of 8.3 minutes to 1 hour (60 minutes) we obtain a decimal result of 0.138333 (approx). Multiplying 671 million x 0.138333 give us a product of 92,821,443 miles, which just so happens to be the distance from the sun to the earth. Therefore, the sun is much farther away from the earth than the 2-3 thousand miles the "flatties" postulate. It also means that the sun is much larger than the 32 mile figure claimed by these people. BTW, the earth's orbit around the sun is not a perfect circle, but an ellipse, so the exact distance varies with the time of year. What next? Will the flatties try to alter the speed of light to suit their theories? Sorry, flatties, but the math will get you every time.
