  1. I think the point our Simon is driving at, is not necessarily about major criminal activities but the petty stuff. Convid was a perfect example, neighbour reporting neighbour for going out twice in one day etc, grassing on kids playing in the garden, that sort of thing. Most people would happily report something they witnessed such as a murder or a knife attack, that's standard behaviour. However, trivial things like reporting something they are offended by or on behalf of another, they see or read on social media is going to far.
