From the 1997 election things have gone down rapidly. Of course there were women in politics, even in major positions. However, Blair went overboard with women, he called them Blair's Babes, or rather that was the name for them.

@sylviasimpson-n2o Oh I'm sure he didn't, but remember he was a politician, so to gain votes and power, he was willing to do anything.
