  2. There certainly is, cancel the licence legally. A few options, 1) go online to the BBC and declare your household licence free, by filling in the questionnaire saying you do not watch any LIVE BROADCAST or BBC iPlayer, simple as that. Or 2), as I done a few years ago, just stopped paying. Although option 2 wil most likely to endure getting a letter, or as I call it a threatogram, but fear not, stick it in the bin, or birdcage etc. It might also incur getting a visit from some goon working for the TV licence people, but again fear not, as when they called at my house recently, I opened the door, asked who he was, he said TV licencing, I said no thanks and closed the door and carried on my day. They can send as many letters as they wish, or as many goons as they wish, but they won't be gaining access to my property, nor will I be discussing my viewing habits with some stranger at my door, that's if I even answer the door.
