  3. Most normal everyday people usually have the weekends off. Obviously a lot of people do work weekends, but they are held at weekends to try to maximise the attendance. Even if it was held midweek, when MPs are there, remember they are in a place that is guarded, safe and secure, so would unlikely seeing it. Another point which is important, there is no way would the authorities allow the streets to be closed off midweek in a major city like London. I know a different certain demographic group that did close parts of London for their get together, but as we know different rules apply to different groups in this country of ours.

  10. No in simple terms. Your only input when voting is for a candidate in your local area. Beyond that, for example, we never get the opportunity to vote directly who we would like to be the prime minister. Whoever just happens to be the leader of the party that gets the most seats throughout the country, becomes the prime minister. That's also assuming the leader of the party wins his seat. There is no national vote as such, it simply boils down to whichever party gets the most seats, regardless of the number of votes for the party nationwide.

  11. Not a perfect system we have in Northern Ireland, but we can't just take our cars to a garage that is MOT approved. We have dedicated MOT Centres, which on the whole are pretty fair, obviously depending on where you go, a mate might do you a favour. But honestly it's a better system, usually county controlled, need to book etc, yes they are still catching up with the backlog of the scam, plus a major problem with the platform lifts, but seriously a better system overall. The chances of your mate working there, who might tip you the nod is slim, for most people.

  12. Im here in East Belfast, things are going to blow. I grew up during the troubles, although this part didn't really suffer too many bombings etc. However, this one issue, immigration is causing more problems than what the troubles created. It's affecting us all, the authorities think we don't notice, that loads of people who weren't born here or from a different culture would just blend in are delusional. People don't have an issue if they DO blend in, that's fine, but when they start abusing our children then the gloves are off. I'm aware we aren't at the same levels of the UK mainland in terms of immigration in the big cities, but it's still happening on a large scale.

  14. I've been at two of the rallies, this one and the last one in July. Mentally comparing the numbers I'm confident in saying that the crowd yesterday was bigger than the July one.

  16.  @noexcuse6704  Hopefully he will win, think positive. However, I understand what you mean though, as perhaps if they don't win then it's considered a wasted vote. There is a bigger picture at stake here. I'm giving examples. Say Reform in total get 5 million votes nationwide, but only turns into 10 seats in parliament? Then as another example the Tories or Lib Dems get the same amount of votes nationwide, yet between them they get a few hundred seats? That proves that our voting system is not fit for purpose. We have a first past the post system, which is not right. There was an election years ago, I think it was UKIP, forerunners of Reform, they got something like 5 million votes nationwide, but only 1 seat in parliament. That is not right, and shouldn't be like that. Hope I've explained to you how our system works, it's all designed to favour the established parties not the newer or smaller ones.

  21. They can do that all day, everyday. Unfortunately for the powers that be nothing of note took place, so all they will have is plenty of pictures of mainly happy people.
