  1. Without sounding condescending, all your ideas are feasible and workable. Unfortunately, as has happened especially since the days of Blair and continued, they have no desire to actually stop any of this. As you mentioned, as soldiers, in hot or cold climates, we lived in tented camps, weren't exactly luxury by any stretch of the imagination, but we still survived easily. Obviously these were Battalion size locations, they as in the military could scale this up as and when required in another country. Then if the would be incomers pass strict assessments etc, then by all means let them in. All this would be a lot cheaper than the current nonsense going on, would gainfully employ our troops in better things, rather than sending them to the meat grinder in Ukraine for example.
