An excellent presentation, unfortunately that it's the truth of our Nations Capital. Although my own C
ity of Belfast is particularly famous for other bad reasons, since the troubles stopped, well stopped as in it largely went quiet from bombings etc, it was going great guns, excuse the pun, until very recently. I would say probably the last 5 years, we have had a rapid increase of new arrivals. Not anywhere near on the scale of London or indeed anywhere town or city in England, but the numbers are certainly rising. At present our problems are pretty low scale in comparison. Of course crime was always there, but the new arrivals are bringing their new crimes with them. Although, pretty much the same as the rest of the UK, the MSM either fail or under report it. Without social media most likely we wouldn't even know about it. As i said earlier, as the numbers increase, so will the problems. At present we also have a great tourist industry, as we are a port, lots of cruise ships rock up on a regular basis for a few days, the passengers disembark and do what tourists do. However, if things continue on the present trajectory no doubt the likes of the cruise ships will just go elsewhere. Belfast is actually a nice place, like anywhere else has its share of rough areas, but the city centre has some stunning architecture, traditional bars and restaurants etc. Just when the city and the country was getting back on its feet after the troubles, our successive governments are determined to scupper it, all in the name of multiculturalism and throw in the diversity for good measure.
