@tommymorrison6478 I'm referring to the film Silenced. Obviously you haven't watched it. Granted I slightly went off topic, you can research Kirklees Council. Anyway, back to original point, you stated that Peter Lynch was charged with rioting. He certainly was not. Just because a riot started at a protest, doesn't mean a person was involved in said rioting. As far as I'm aware only one person out of the thousand or so arrested was charged with the crime of rioting. About half were charged with disorder of some description, the rest for what they posted on the internet. You are totally blinded by the MSM take on all this. Peter Lynch was charged with violent disorder, which is NOT RIOTING. Not sure where your getting your information from, but I suggest you do a little bit of research and get the real truth. Lots of people in this thread have said what he was doing, even the Judge agreed, in his summing up, that Mr Lynch was not involved in any RIOTING. All in the public domain, if you care to look.

If you research the RBL, on the Charity Commission website, the RBL account is listed, assets, money in the bank etc. Also listed are the details of about 15 of their staff on salaries in excess of 100k, plus others close to that. I used to be a donater to them as I'm ex military, however, I was alerted and was directed to the website to discover how much they are worth and expenditures etc. Needless to say I immediately stopped any donations a few years ago. It will certainly open your eyes 👀.

@tommymorrison6478 It's not a about believing who is right or wrong here. Let's talk about the film, and the characters in the film, unbeknownst to them were covertly recorded. So they spoke candidly about the case. Based on that information one is inclined to believe what they said was true. They admitted, and a FOI request confirmed that Kirklees Council paid them roughly a quarter of a million pounds, and a gagging order, to ensure the story was buried from public scrutiny, this is not in dispute. So, why would they do that?

@tommymorrison6478 Peter Lynch was not put in jail for rioting, he was charged for violent disorder. His crime was to attend a protest, held a sign and called the police SCUM. The OP, was referring to others who wrote tweets or Facebook messages, and went to prison for misinformation or incitement. In light of the new details revealed the other day, as the OP said, they went to jail for posting the truth, or indeed some went to prison for reposting a post that they had seen on X or Facebook. Nobody is asking that those who actually were involved in the disorder to be released, that is an entirely different matter.
