@brainfreeze1925 I've been asking for these stories for 30 years now. And for 30 years I've been giving the exact same reason. People like me won't go to see them even though I'm the one literally asking for them. I've been told I'm too bigoted to go see the movies I'm literally asking them to make for me.

@Boethius411 It actually kind of is a bad idea. Because they're not going to be able to make a live-action version better than the cartoon and we know this because people have been trying for decades to make live action versions of these stories and have not done better than the cartoons. Pissing your customer base off is never a good business move. And when you already have a good product and you make an inferior version of it you're going to piss off your customers. Especially when they're telling you they don't want you to do that.

@sophieamandaleitontoomey9343 personally I love Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Race wasn't a genetic factor in that universe. You had a black queen a white king and their Asian son. I thought that was great. Just ignore race all together in that version. It's fun! But it's not meant to be a live-action version of Cinderella it's meant to be Roger and hammerstein's version of Cinderella. That little bit of respect goes a long fucking way.

I love their excuse. We're too bigoted to accept new stories that are actually meant to start non-white people but we're not too big into accepting our white stories being blackwashed. Hollywood actually thinks that's a thing. No. We'd be down for new stories that are supposed to start black people but we do not want our white stories blackwashed. Why won't they learn that lesson?

@hansmemling2311 We wouldn't want those stories blackwashed either. If you want to use black actors use a story about black people. We're not complaining about stories about black people we just don't want black people in stories about white people. That's racist. You know we white people are constantly being told we don't have any culture and yet we're constantly having it stolen from us or we're just giving it away. I'm done with that. Stop appropriating white culture! It's not something that's just up for grabs for everyone. It actually belongs to us.
