To be fair none of this would have happened if he had done what he's supposed to do when he sees red and blue lights. If deaf people are allowed to drive it's because they've been told a way to know they're being pulled over without hearing the sirens. What did he think the red and blue lights were for? If deaf people can't know when they're being pulled over they can't have the legal right to drive. I'm not on the police side here but Jeff guy should have known he was getting pulled over. It's kind of part of the privilege of driving. You're a lawyer. So what are the actual laws for deaf people? How are they actually legally supposed to respond when they see red and blue blinking lights? Because if you are I did what he did the exact same thing would happen to us. Yeah we don't have the excuse of the fact that we can't hear them but he could see the red and blue blinking lights. If he's got an excuse from the law so do we.

My question is what are deaf people taught when they see red and blue blinking lights? I mean you and I don't get an excuse because we can't hear the police officers. They're supposed to know what red and blue blinking lights mean right? He should have seen those lights and known he might be the one being pulled over. He never should have approached the police officers. Deaf or not he's the one who actually escalated the incident. Knowingly or not. Ignorance is no excuse from the law and neither is not hearing it when you can SEE.

@Eledan13 I disagree with that. He was breaking the law. He ran a red light, ignored red and blue blinking lights, and started to approach police officers who were in the process of trying to arrest him. They did exactly what they would have done for you or I had we done what he did. He should have known better than to do what he did. I mean unless you're telling me we don't teach deaf people how to deal with police officers if they're getting pulled over which would just be stupid on our part now wouldn't it. If they have no ability to deal with police officers while getting pulled over they shouldn't have the right to drive. Driving is a privilege not a right and if you can't follow the same rules as everyone else you don't get the privilege.
