@Qardo he got a very speedy trial. He was found not guilty. The problem is the school decided that didn't matter. Because Yale thinks it's above the law. And unfortunately it seemed our government agreed until now.

@robk5427 well being found not guilty in a legal court of law is pretty good evidence and gives me little doubt of her guilt. Oh plus the evidence that the school railroaded him is also pretty good evidence that she's guilty. He's got a pretty good case.

That's not an unpopular opinion. In fact it's very very popular. Most people think that's what should happen.

@Luisjusthere as a woman I can personally feel empathy for men. They don't have to be a member of my family. I can actually feel empathy for men I've never met before. I feel empathy for you if someone falsely accuses you of rape. Because I'm a human being. I feel things for the human beings. They don't have to be related to me for me to feel bad for them. I'm sorry you have to be related to women to feel bad for them.

@Matt_H_ what happens when you falsely accuse someone of rape and they're pissed off 40-year-old 5'2 90 lb mom gets her gun?

@billusher2265 do you think they ever actually admit that anyway? They don't. Do you think the girl has to admit she's lying for the guy to be found out guilty or something? Because she doesn't. None of these girls ever admit that they were lying. Because that would be illegal. Lying on your oath is illegal. It is a criminal offense. So if they admit that they lied under oath they could go to jail! So there's still not going to admit it.

Why are schools treated as government entities? No one in a school is a government officer. Their cops shouldn't even be real cops because they're not cops their security guards. Our government needs to stop granting its privileges to third party institutions. Yale is not the US government. Yale is not the state government. Yale is not the government! It is not the arbiter of law and order. It's a fucking school.

@KefkaPalazz0 which could just mean the jury believes that she believes that she was raped but she wasn't. If two people get drunk and have sex one of those people may think they were raped when they weren't. Happens all the time. This is why people are saying this. Because girls will purposely get drunk and sleep with a guy and then accuse him of raping her. When he was just as drunk as she was. Either men and women are equal and if a woman is drunk and it's rape then when a man is drunk it's rape or not. Right now we have different laws based on sex. If you're a woman and you're drunk you're a victim if you're a man and you're drunk you're a perpetrator.

His accuser should be in jail. If you try to put an innocent person in prison you belong in prison. Why on Earth would anyone get qualified immunity for talking to their school? A school is not a legal court of US law. Talking to your school is not the same thing as being under oath in front of a judge. I think he deserves more than 110 million. 110 million is just making up for what Yale took from him wrongly. That doesn't make up for the damage they actually caused. He lost the future of being a Yale graduate lawyer. The life being a lawyer who graduated from Yale brings is spectacular compared to almost any other life. That was taken from him because a girl lied and a school chose to believe her for no reason. How much money could he have made in that career? Because all of that future gains is gone. All because of one lie while multiple. Multiple lies that were found to be exactly that in a legal court. You'll deserves to be held incredibly responsible for their decision that they matter more than a court. Because they don't. These entities need to realize they are not governments. And our government needs to remember they are not governments. We need to do a little bit of Disney justice around here. Strip these motherfuckers of the rights they don't actually have.
