  2. Yes the business owner is smart to stay in a state in which stealing from him is 100% legal and the only thing he can do about it is hope that some photographs of the thieves will stop them which it won't. You can't shame the shameless and thieves are pretty damn shameless.

They're not going to go to jail, you can't stop them from coming in your store, and they're just going to keep stealing from you. How nice, you've displayed their photo.   5. ​ @iramkjr76 I'm 40 and I remember my local grocery store having photos of people they'd had trespassed from the store. It's almost like that's the best way to know someone has been trespassed from your store. It's a very old thing. Not a New concept at all. So old it was a trope in TV shows back in my day.

  6. Yeah when you give a flying fuck about the community. These people don't. Do you think they care that they're friends who are also shoplifters know if they're a shoplifter? They don't. How about their family who sent them out to shoplift? Of course not. How about the other people that they don't know or care about and probably call horrible horrible names?   7. Reading this comment section has explained to me why California exists. People really are stupid. So many of you actually think this is going to do something. And you're calling this man smart and you think it's new. Shame works when people care. These people don't care. So shaming them isn't going to work. This isn't the '50s anymore. We're putting your picture up in the diner is going to stop you from entering the diner and stealing from it. It's also not new it was cliche back in the '50s.

  11. ​ @anglophils645 no canceling someone is not illegal. Otherwise cancel culture wouldn't have been a thing. You are allowed to inform someone's employer of something that may terminate somebody else's employment. You're not allowed to threaten their employer but you are allowed to inform them. Not that any of these people have employers. They're all on welfare and are criminals.
