The Oscars have literally never been about merit. Don’t you know the term Oscar bait? The Oscars have always been about what makes Hollywood feel good about itself. Hell Cuties was a nominee for this year‘s Oscars. Basically CP.

@TroyShahanMusic I agree the only problem is they have very very very deep pockets. Remember these are the people who are funded by the billionaires. And for the billionaires the agenda is a hell of a lot more important than a couple extra bucks. They already have plenty of money, complete power over the little people is what their after now.

@DiggitySlice I kind of agree with you but I have to question how do you challenge a bunch of rich people patting each other on the back? This has always been a gigantic circle jerk, people are just now starting to see it.

@88detour except that people don’t watch this so no one‘s looking to see how colorful the nominee speeches are going to be. In fact the reason we don’t watch is because of the colorful speeches. It’s almost like no one likes it. If they did the ratings wouldn’t be in the gutter.

All while California reduces laws criminalizing homelessness. So they’re encouraging them to come to California and then kicking them out of the city. Why? Because they want the homeless in YOUR backyard. Not theirs.

The sad thing is even if it did burn when it came back it would just be the same fucking thing. The money would come from the same people so nothing would change. The people who are funding Hollywood right now are the people who would fund it in the future. Billionaires with an agenda.

I am honestly sick and tired of people who portray important people thinking they’re important. They’re not. If they were we’d be watching movies about them not starring them. No one should listen to a professional liar. And that’s what acting is, lying. No one wants to hear a bunch of rich assholes who haven’t experienced real life in decades if ever telling them how to live real life. And let’s be fair the Oscars have always been political. Good movies never actually win an Oscar. Only groundbreaking bullshit does. You know movies no one actually watches or only watches once.
