  1. Ironically it's all thinks to JFK's assassination. If he hadn't been assassinated he planned on fixing the problem he created. Taking down the asylums was just one step of his two step program. After he died they ignored the second part. Which was to rebuild the asylums and run them correctly.

  3. 1 in 5 includes things like mild anxiety, the baby blues, seasonal depression, and addiction. I'm bipolar, as far as I'm concerned a mental illness is caused by the mind. It requires no outside help. PTSD is the exception that proves the rule. The ones I listed are caused by outside stimulus. NOT by the mind. If your not stressed in your daily life you don't have mild anxiety any more. Wait a month and the baby blues goes away on its own. Go on vacation in a sunny climate and watch that seasonal depression clear right up. Don't pick up a crack pipe or a bottle of Jack and there's no worry of addiction. These are NOT mental illnesses they are illnesses of the mind. A mental illness cannot be changed simply by changing one's surrounding. Trust me I know. I'm bipolar. This purposely waters mental illness down so as to underplay its vital importance. If everyone is mentally ill no one is and nothing can continue to be done about it. Melania Trump is the perfect example of a politician's wife. She makes a couple of statements, does a few prayers, and supports her man. That's all her job entails. We didn't elect her to do Jack nor shit. Prevention is great... in the beginning. We're well past the beginning. The SEVERLY mentality ill are running wild in the streets and they have been for 60 years. There's no point in cleaning the front yard when the house is a pig sty.
