Yeah that's been what leftists have said for the last 20 years at least. I'm not 100% sure about the '90s but I can definitely tell you they have been saying that since the early 2000s. I used to say it. It leaves a distaste in my mouth.

As much as I hate squatters I hate rich people who think squatters should be in poor people's neighborhoods more. So yeah I'm on the squatter side. The play Rent could not get me on the squatter side but LeBron and his neighbors did! I have to admit that's impressive.

Not in California or New York you don't. Literally you do not have that right. It's illegal.

That's what they were meant to protect. Until California and New York got their hands on them and decided that a squatter automatically becomes a tenant if the homeowner comes back. Whether or not they had any agreement with the homeowner to begin with. Originally you had to be a squatter for 10 years to own the property. They changed that to 30 days.

And why would these people settle for money when they have a free mansion to live in? If they got money they're going to have to spend that money. This way they get money for free. All they got to do is leave one person in the house 24 hours a day. That's not hard to do.

Wait so are you saying we actually have a law that is applicable to everyone? Are squatters rights the only laws that are actually enforced across the board? This is insane. The only law that's actually enforced against everyone no matter how much money they have is the one law that benefits only the criminal. That is really really messed up!
