So she knew the risk and chose to allow her car to be used anyway. She's partly responsible and should be held so. I don't know where the ideas this is in the gray area because it's not. It's black and white. She knew the risk she took the money away and someone died. She's partly responsible. SHE WAS IN THE CAR!!!!???? She's even MORE responsible then I thought! She did take responsibility of that child. When she allowed her car to be used to whip the child around she took responsibility for what happened to that child. Her car was being used to whip the child around therefore she's responsible for what happens. She knew this could lead to the child's death and allowed it to happen anyway. Without her the boy would be alive. No other responsible adult would have allowed this to happen. I do agree she's not guilty of child abuse. Unless the non violent parent is responsible for an abusive parents abuse which they're not. But neglect and accessory is 100% accurate. She's also an accessory. Straight up an accessory.

Why because someone directly involved with the situation was? You do get your responsible for your vehicle right? The manufacturers responsible until they sell it to you. She didn't sell her car to the aunt she loaned it to the car she was still responsible for what happened with it. You do get your insurance goes up if you loan your card to someone and they get into an accident right? Because you're responsible for your car. This is just that taken to the legal degree because she got someone killed, a child killed. Oh and if you loan your gun to someone to shoot an apple off of someone's head and they shoot them in the face you are actually responsible. You will be charged as an accessory. Because that's what you are. An accessory.

I don't see how this isn't black and white. Had she not loaned her car to a drunk and high driver for a stunt she knew was risky the kid would be alive. She's not fully responsible but she is partly responsible.

If he's drunk and high and going to be performing a stunt yes. You should totally be fine as long as you don't get your son stinking drunk and stoned out of his mind before you teach him to drive. Because that's what makes a perfectly safe activity hazardous. I don't know about you but I've been driving for 20 years and never killed a 15-year-old. Also claiming driving is dangerous is like claiming that taking a shower is dangerous. Statistically speaking you're more likely to die in your shower than a car.
