For once sean here is touting the progressive line. That it's okay to discriminate against men. Made me a bit queasy actually.

I'm not at all sad that a business who thought they were being well intentioned by discriminating against 50% of the human population went out of business. Discrimination is not well intentioned. You can't discriminate against people for the betterment of everyone.

If not for the lawsuit how would we ever fix the problem? Making it not frivolous. Maybe bars in California won't discriminate against men in the future. Again making the lawsuit not frivolous. Enforcing good laws is never frivolous.

I don't think the business getting shut down for discriminating against 50% to the human population is sad. And no if men can't have their own spaces women can't have our own spaces. That's the whole equality thing. You actually have to treat everyone equally. You're not allowed to discriminate.

The business didn't shut down because of the lawsuit they shut down because of their discrimination that led to a lawsuit. Had they not discriminated against men there would have been no lawsuit they'd still be open. It was their actions that led to their business being shut down. Stop blaming the victim.

Sean... Discrimination isn't okay just because it's against men. When we made discrimination based on sex illegal it was supposed to be for both of them not just one. Saying you can't discriminate based on sex does not mean discriminate against men. We women started it. You can't cry sexism and then benefit from sexism. Either there's only nights for everybody or there are specific nights for ladies and specific nights for men. You don't get to throw a hissy fit about equal rights and then demand different privileges. This is all on women! Also fuck the spirit of the law. If you wanted it to be in the law you should have written it into the law. I can't read your spirit. I don't know what you were thinking when you wrote something. I only know what you wrote. I can only read what you wrote. If you wanted discrimination against men to be legal you should have written that. Why is the lawyer a scumbag for following the law? @Individual_Lives_Matter Did you know you have no right to do business in the United States? You have to get a business license to do business in the United States. Therefore it's a privilege. Granted by the government. Who said that discriminating against an American because of an arbitrary trait such as their genitals is illegal. So no your business is not a private business. It's an American business. Meaning you have to do business with all Americans equally.

He could because that's also discrimination based on an arbitrary trait that's protected by the 14th amendment. Age discrimination. Y'all get the law is what it is right? And it's not frivolous to sue someone who broke the law. We called that Justice. So yeah he could sue places for senior citizen discounts. Because that's technically illegal.

How did he feel when girls demanded the boy scouts stop being exclusively for boys? I honestly don't remember. And I'm too lazy to go back and look. But I bet he felt the way most right of far left people felt. That it was wrong to take that away and discriminate against boys. But now it's perfectly acceptable cuz it's bars I guess.

All they'd have to do is give the answer to the question. As long as you know what a woman is you know what discrimination based on sex is. And if you know what sex and discrimination based on sexes you recognize that making men pay more for the same practice as women is sexual discrimination.

@Richard-ul8yz if you really want to go after the old people you could argue that discounts for seniors is age discrimination. However being a veteran is actually its own protected class so you'd lose there.

I love how defending men's rights makes you a slimeball! Because the only reason anyone would ever defend men's rights is if they're a slimeball right? This man couldn't just legitimately not want to be discriminated against. No he's a slimeball! And discriminating against men is is perfectly acceptable! At least according to many people including Sean.

@stacin821 Okay why don't they do the same thing for men then? I mean it's just one night right? No big deal. So instead of discriminating against men they could do one for women and one for men where they're not discriminating against anyone breaking the law. Otherwise what you're saying is it's okay to discriminate against men.

Very few gay bars actually discriminate. They are gay bars but straight people are allowed to go and they don't charge you anything different if you're gay or straight. If they do feel free to sue them.

Or the takeaway could be if they're going to do business in a country with both men and women don't discriminate against one of the two. Either one of the two.

I'd rather blame the criminal who broke the law. I think anti-discrimination laws are good and I don't think a public business should be allowed to discriminate based on arbitrary traits like genitals. So I'm not going to blame the lawyers or the lawmakers I'm going to blame the criminal. The bar owner.

@StallionStudios1234 decision to crack in the law. This is literally what the law was written for. For men and women to be treated equally. But men and women can't be treated equally if women are given extra privileges. We have to give those up for equality!

Yes anti discrimination laws are insane! It should totally be acceptable to charge two different people completely different prices for the exact same thing.
