He was a counterfeiter and held a pregnant woman at gunpoint too!

In most areas where there are food deserts they've never had grocery stores because the grocery stores always got robbed. Downtown Chicago has never had a grocery store because when they've ever tried to open one it got robbed. That's why they have bodegas. Much smaller stores that are harder to steal from. These people complain about the problems they themselves cause. If they want to fix their problems stop stealing from their local stores. No one travels across town to steal from a 99 cent store!

When both the laws and the people are against you you can't stick around. And every single person in this video played a part in that store closing. They either voted for the laws or they stole from the store themselves or possibly raise their children to smash and grab! No one travels across town to rob a 99 cent store.

@ExPwner I basically live in the space between two towns which are pretty far apart. We don't have very many stores. I think about 6. One of them is a grocery store. And I'm going to point out why we have a grocery store but inner cities don't one more time. We don't rob the grocery store!

I've noticed that too. None of the grocery stores in Appalachia are closing down because of hillbillies. I wonder what the difference is between white neighborhoods and black neighborhoods that are making grocery stores flee? Couldn't possibly be the behavior could it?

@CC-pj7iy same where I live. Yes there are certain Walmarts with grocery stores in them. Usually right next to an actual grocery store maybe even two. Where I live we actually have multiple grocery stores in the same area to compete for prices. We'll have an Aldi, a Save-A-Lot, and a Jewel all on the same block. Not to mention the Walmart that does have a grocery store in it. Probably because I live in a high trust area. People don't rob the stores in this area blind!

No it's called a five-finger discount.

You know the people in this video probably stole stuff from that store too. You know they paid for one item and walked out with two. Ain't no one traveling across town to rob your $.99 store!

Enforcing the law doesn't matter when the entire town doesn't pay any attention to what the law is. Every single person in this video had a hand in that store closing. I guarantee you every single one of them walked out with two items when they only paid for one. Not to mention they're the parents of the robbers. No one travels across town to steal from your $0.99 store. These people are the ones responsible for what's going on in their neighborhood. The store closing is their fault.

Hey they could be doing the same thing New York is doing and trying to force businesses to stay even after they've been robbed to the point where they can't afford to.

@Justadonkey just like New York!

Chicago is my nearest big city so food deserts has been a thing my entire life. But there is a reason food deserts exist. Because the people in the areas Rob the stores! Downtown Chicago has repeatedly attempted to open grocery stores. But on opening day they're always robbed. And grocers are the first ones to say if you're going to rob us we just won't be there. They know they're vital. They know they're necessary. But if the people decide they're going to abuse them they don't get one. I have no sympathy for these people. If you have a food desert it's because you were robbing your local grocery store. Stop doing that. Control yourselves and maybe people will actually open businesses around you. But until you control yourself that won't happen. No one's traveling across town to Rob your 99 cent store! The simple solution is no more food stamps. If people actually had to pay for their own food or starve they'd actually care when other people steal making the food they buy more expensive. But as it stand they don't care if the taxpayer has to pay more for what they buy. Because they didn't have to work for that. Uncle Sam gave it to them for free. Who cares if the taxpayer has to pay more for food? Not the welfare recipient!

@Relayer6a yeah because all of their stores are in California and Nevada. Where theft is legal. Except for Nevada. Nevada's the only one experiencing issues because of California not stopping people from robbing stores. I think you're pretty stupid if the vast majority of your 277 stores are in California to begin with.

Because the government has been subsidizing these people for decades. When the store can go out of business because you robbed it too much but you're still getting paid why would you change your behavior? You'll just go to a different store and Rob them and still get paid. The problem is we keep paying people to do nothing. We pay these people to reproduce. When that's what you're getting paid for you're going to commit crimes. Especially when you're not stopped. Especially when people make excuses for you committing crimes. They've learned the lesson. They've learned as long as they're criminals Uncle Sam will provide.

@raydemos1181 they don't have local malls or have been trespassed from their local malls for their past theft. The 99 cent store is the only store that was still open in their area. They didn't have any choice but to rob them. Got to rob someone!
