As a mentally ill person I 100% concur! Closing the asylums was the worst thing we could have done.

@WoodyWard in a place he had no legal right to take shelter... Yes. Would you not consider it a crime if I took shelter in your home without your permission? Because property is owned. Land is owned. Sewers are owned. And not by the homeless guy.

My fiance is technically homeless. He's a single father whose son lives with his parents. With the work that he does it's just easier for him to live out of his car and to camp places. No one would ever know where he's been. There is a way to be homeless and respectable. That's not the type of people we're talking about unfortunately. We're talking about the drags of society. Also I'm legally homeless. I've lived in the house I live in right now for the last 7 years.

 @byronschroedel432 loitering, trespassing, and any damage he has done to the equipment in the space he stole. Need more crimes I guarantee you he committed then!

Last time I checked stepping over homeless people doesn't help them. You actually have to do something to prevent the homelessness if you are trying to help them. Because homeless is the problem. I wish the left understood that.

@refundreplay because I'm a warehouse clerk in Illinois. I'm not a politician, I'm not a lawyer, I'm not a judge. Also I don't give a flying fuck if he integrates into society. I either want him in jail, a psychiatric unit, or dead if he can't integrate into society. His integration is not my job, neither is the law. What are you doing to change the laws? Or are you happy with the laws as they are? And if you're not happy with the laws as they are and you're not doing anything about it how about you shut the fuck up?
