  1. Here’s the thing. I don’t live in Chicago therefore I can’t vote against it. However I do live in Chicago’s suburbs so I am affected by it. What am I supposed to do? Just deal with the criminals coming out of Cook county?

  2. You must’ve left Chicago a long ass time ago! I lived in Cook County from birth until about 30 years old. I wanted to leave when I was 7 in 1990.

  6. I live in Illinois and we may not have stand your ground laws but just try breaking into my house. Chicago is the only part of Illinois with strict gun laws! I don’t live in cook county!

  9. It effectively makes all crime legal as long as you run. Cops don’t like doing paperwork! Also how is anyone supposed to know how much you stole at the time you stole it? That takes an investigation.

  11. This is why I’m glad I don’t live in Cook county anymore. Still stuck in Illinois but thanks god not Cook! What is it with our government and trying to make law-enforcement safe? First the Supreme Court decided to completely rewrite our contract with our police and exclude protecting and serving from their job description even though that was literally what we hired them to do and now Lori Lightfoot is just saying hey as long as they run they can get away with murder. Why do they think they can do this and why do we let them do it? We made the police not them! They belong to us not them. Also I don’t understand how the Supreme Court had any say over that since local police are not a federal issue nor are they covered under the constitution.

  12. And yet we put another little boy, 10 years old, in adult prison for life for killing one other child. Guess what the difference was. One happened in the 90s to a white kid the other one happens today to black kids. But Black Lives Matter don’t they?
