The same thing happened to me when I was in high school over 20 years ago. And that happened in the middle of the school day. A water main busted so we were sent home. That's what they're legally supposed to do I'm pretty sure since they no longer have any insurance to cover fire.

It's not that their toilets didn't work it said they had no running water. The bucket is just a symptom of a much larger problem. If a fire breaks out those students have no fire suppression. I'm pretty sure it was actually illegal for them to continue with the kids in the school. Not only were they putting the children's lives at risk but their insurance wouldn't have covered anything if something had happened. This principle not only put these children's lives on the line but she put the cities money on the line as well.

And how is that supposed to help if a fire breaks out? One of the reasons of school is required to have water is for fire suppression. If the school has no running water it has no fire suppression. Therefore it still has no right to be open. I mean unless you want children to burn to death in their school.

Crime prevention. The city of Baltimore is ranked number three in violent crime. These kids parents are criminals and so are they. So instead of doing things like maintenance they pay for police officers and training for the teachers to know how to take down a criminal.

No place is allowed to be open if it doesn't have running water because it can't suppress fire. If you can't suppress fire you're putting whoever's in the building in danger. Yeah it goes to preventing these kids from committing crimes against each other. We're talking about Baltimore. You know the city ranked 3rd for violent crimes? Not some small town. That's why they get more money than the wealthier schools but still have a bucket to shit in.
