I was actually working security when this happened, and my company had to print up an entire thing telling us we had no right to touch people. We were not law enforcement, we had no right to touch someone, we had no right to detain someone, and we definitely had no right to shoot someone. Security guards are not law enforcement. No matter how much they wish they were, they are just civilians. Security guards are basically just monitors. Their job is to watch and call the police who actually do have the authority to enforce the law.
