Singapore collects fees from international ships passing through its natural sea strait. When it says "export" it really means to say foreign cargo ships passing through its strait, it really has nothing to do with export. Singapore is nothing without the strait. GDP means nothing when one can't produce anything but depends on foreign ships passing through its territorial water . Macau has similar amount of GDP, it depends on gambling. Nothing to be proud of.

@waynesworldofsci-tech I meant Atari, I forget how to spell the name, it's been over 3 decades ago. I bought an Atari PC-XT compatible (aka clone) in 1988 or 1989, it was excellent (for the time). The main computer was separate from the hard-disk, each in a beige color box. I went to the main public library in Vancouver, Canada to get free SIG (Special Interest Group) software, it had a designated computer with a CD-ROM full of SIG software (amazing service in a public library in that era) I went with my floppies to copy those free software. That was when most people didn't have computers.

@waynesworldofsci-tech Yes, in those days it was like living in Star Trek when playing with all those SIG software, way ahead into the future. I remember those slow and noisy dial up modem days, an unusual feeling when hardly anyone in the world was into computers those days, but now everyone is a geek. 😁

@kattay177 You need to check the basic facts before making up such a lie. The real fact is 75% of Singapore's GDP is by service sector, which is actually mostly collecting fees from foreign cargo ships passing through its strait and money laundering! Yes, Singapore provides the world's second largest money laundering banking service; Switzerland being the number 1 money laundering banking service in the world. Now you know the truth.

@kordelas2514 No need argue over shape of earth. If you want to proof for youself all you have to do is sail or fly on the circumference of both arctic circle and antarctic circle, to see if they are same size or antarctic circle is 4 times bigger than arctic circle, many humans have done that, they all say both circles are same size, you don't have to take their words, go do it yourself to settle once and for all, there's no need for blind debates.

@kordelas2514 There is no evidence of radioactivity in Hiroshima and Nagasaki at time immediately after the so-called atomic bomb exploded on those two cities, there were people with burnt skins but no evidence that was caused by radioactivity, could very well by regular fire. Those two cities immediately went into repairs immediately after the so-called atomic bomb explosions, no one got radioactive contamination then or now. Makes you wonder which history or news is true and which is fake.

@Sminsky Only 24% of Singapore's GDP comes from manufacturing sector. 75% comes from service sector in the forms of collecting fees from passing cargo ships and money laundering.

Sheeple believe any lie told, even if it defies science and common sense. No radioactivity was found immediately after the so-called atomic bomb explosions on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, those cities were burned by regular fires caused by regular bomb explosions. No crater on the ground caused by atomic bomb explosion, the excuse by USA is that because the atomic bombs exploded in the air miles high above the ground so there was no crater made on the ground, the radioactive dust got blew away without dropping onto the ground so that is why no radioactivity anywhere on the land. I don't know about today's military weapons, but the story of so-called atomic bombs in WW2 sounds very fishy because there is no evidence they existed back then, just a few photos and film clips. Now we know the Apollo moon landings were faked by staging movies made on earth, many other history stories could be fake too.

@paulmichaelfreedman8334 At that time most people didn't care for computers, only the home geeks went crazy over IBM PC compatibles. I was satisfied with my Atari IBM compatible, it was well made as expected by a famous Japanese game console brand. Not only at the time most people didn't have interest in computers, the IBM PC clones were expensive, even many home geeks couldn't afford it, that is one of the reasons the market wasn't ready yet.

@capmidnite Most of the so-called international trade (import & export) in Singapore is not the real international trade, it is merely foreign cargo ships passing through its strait, the cargos have absolutely nothing to to with Singapore, but the government of Singapore claims those cargos are exported from Singapore, fabricating a pseudo export value.
