There are many people in China backpacking and camping along the highways to and from Tibet. Chinese people don't like hitchhiking, they rather bike and even walk thousands of km, mostly to prove themselves have strong will power and ability to be independent.

@apocaRUFF Prostrating is laying flat on the ground, then get up to walk a few steps and then lay flat on the ground again, those are Tibetan religious people travelling from within Tibet to Lahsa. The travellers I was talking about are the Han Chinese backpackers or campers, they walk or bicycle for hundreds or thousands of km to Lahsa, they sleep in tents and eat whatever food they carry with them until they reach a town with food supply. Many of them travel for months without any hitchhiking or riding on any vehicle. Some of them pull a box cart which they can sleep inside. There are many videos showing them on the road to Lahsa. This guy has a super easy life, hitchhiking and eating at restaurants, that's nothing compared to those travellers walking for months without any ride or restaurants.

I condemn the USA's oppression and violations of human rights on the native Americans. USA has been around only a few hundred years, whereas native Americans have been around 20,000 to 30,000 years!

@TaiwanSausage The Chinese government built concrete huts along the highways leading to Lahsa for road travellers to sleep in so they can be safe from wild animals and cold weather.

China is perhaps the easiest and safest country for hitchhike travellers. Many Chinese people bike or walk thousands of km to and from Tibet. This man is nothing, he is doing something super easy by hitchhiking, he should prove how tough he really is by walking thousands of km to Tibet, let's see he does it like tens of thousands of Chinese who are everyday on the roads to and from Tibet at high altitude and harsh weather.

The easilest humans known to use fire to cook (BBQ) their food are the Peking Men, most likely the ancestors of the Chinese people, so it's most likely kebabs or BBQ meats on a stick originated in where is now called China, then spread to other parts of the world.

Not true. Long distance truckers in China are happy to give ride to anyone who seems good, truck drivers are mostly lonely while driving, having someone to talk to keep them awake with energy. They know foreigners are safer choice to have as passengers because foreigners aren't in China to commit crimes, at least most don't. There are videos of Africans getting rides from Chinese strangers in China just like in this video. You should watch videos by Fel Thommy and King Kwesi, they are Africans living in China.

@李航-w4h Any human or animal could easily walk from Asia to Africa in days! There's no evidence of where humans first appeared. The remains of earliest humans on earth have no been discovered, they are still buried somewhere. Don't believe in mainstream myths.

@凌xing-v6u There are even more wolves in Tibet, the weather is much harsh and colder there. Traveling by walking to Tibet is a popular challenge for the Chinese, they are inspired by Journey to the West. There are many videos of Chinese walking to Tibet, they refuse to get rides, they walk thousands of km to Tibet.

@KayR-l5t What preparation or guts? Anyone can grab a backpack and start hitchhiking in China, it's not illegal as long as it does not violate traffic rules. China is the safest country for hitchhiking as can be seen in this video, where else do you see a country with people so nice to hitchhikers? I hitchhiked in my 40 years of travel around the world, New Zealand was the best for hitchhiking 35 years ago then, I was invited to stay in home and given meals, New Zealanders were decent and friendly then, I don't know what it is like now, but I read bad crime news stories about New Zealand now. These days, perhaps China is the easiest and best country for hitchhiking, as can be seen in this video.

@KayR-l5t The most expensive cost is the plane ticket to China, once there the cost of living is cheap. I don't see anything special or tough in hitchhiking in China, myself as a backpacker hitchhiker with 4 decades of experience travelling in strange places all over the world, I don't see anything so unusual or difficult to do the same in China, it's the easiest safest thing to do. You haven't seen real rough traveling by the way you spoke of this video.

You're using your own culture to judge other people in other cultures. Handshake is not a custom with the common people in China, it's reserved for most important event with known people, not with strangers, unlike in USA where handshakes are so loosely used that become meaningless.

If they were concerned about you they deported you immediately, dont think too highly of yourself. There's nothing they have to hide, everything is done openly. Any foreigner who lost the passport can get a replacement from own country. People who are being held by scammer mafia aren't going to walk around town freely. 😂
